Face Shape and Neck Length
- If your face is square or rectangular, the goal is to break up the angular sides of the jaw and contours. However, avoid accessories that are too long, which create an elongated effect, especially if you have a rectangular face.
- Your face is triangular: you have a pronounced chin. To counteract the width at the chin, your ideal earrings are small hoop earrings and short earrings like studs. Avoid bulky jewelry that accentuates your features.
- If your face is heart-shaped or inverted triangle, with a broad forehead and a small chin, choose wide-based designs like drop earrings. Avoid large jewelry.
- Your face is round or diamond-shaped, with width at the cheekbones: studs and pendants look great on you! For round faces, however, avoid large hoop earrings and other rounded earrings and opt for graphic earrings to counterbalance the lack of angles on your face.
- Your face is long and narrow: this is the ideal face shape that will allow you to wear anything! You can choose wide jewelry to refine your features while favoring a less elongated effect on the face.
Do you have a long neck? Be careful not to wear jewelry that's too long, as it will make your neck look narrower. Medium-sized jewelry is perfect for you! The same is true if you have a high forehead and hairline. For short necks, avoid overly elongated earrings at all costs, which create a sagging effect, and opt for smaller pieces instead.
Haircut
If you have short hair , you can wear simple or rounded shapes like silver-plated hoop earrings to offset the boyish effect of the short cut. However, avoid earrings that are too bulky.
If you have long or bobbed hair, this gives you more options! The longer your hair, the bigger the jewelry you can wear, especially with a hairstyle pulled up like a bun.
